In 2021, District 27 Toastmasters members will elect nine individuals to serve on our District 27 leadership team for a term spanning 2021-2022. One of these directors could be you.
Serving as a district leader is an amazing opportunity to participate in the future of our District. In addition to your contribution of fresh ideas, you will gain diverse experiences and broaden your perspective by working closely with fellow leaders that bring their fresh perspectives to the District leadership team as well. You’ll be involved in strategic planning, team building activities, and management oversight. You’ll help to lead a very strong district by example and through decision-making.

The Nomination Process

Interested candidates should fill out and submit the following forms:
· Attach a photo (jpeg or png file).
The Election Process
The District Leadership Committee will assess the candidates and report the list to the District Director no later than March 19, 2021 (six weeks prior to the election date of the Spring Business Meeting).
The list of nominated officers will be published by the DLC on the District 27 website no later than April 2, 2021 (four weeks prior to the election held during the Spring Business Meeting).
District Director, Iris Taylor, DTM will report the list of successful candidates to the members of the District Council no later than April 2, 2021 (four weeks prior to the election held during the Spring Business Meeting).
Floor candidates (candidates that applied for elected positions but were not nominated by the DLC) shall declare their intent to run after the DLC nomination report has been announced and at least seven (7) days prior to the election. See Protocol 9.0, Section 11(D)(I).
Please submit your application forms by February 15, 2021 to District Leadership Committee Chair Robin Hylton, DTM, IPDD, no later than 5 p.m. EST.
